Over the past two weekends I’ve been working on a theme: circles divided in half. Must be feeling the equinox.
Fabricated Sterling and sapphire. Approximately 3/8 inches.
This little pendant is for my granddaughter. It’s not her birthstone, but sapphire is the color of her beautiful eyes. The bail and the three rivets holding it together are 14 karat gold. The rest is Sterling.
Fabricated Sterling and lapis lazuli. Approximately 1 inch.
This is a brushed finish, giving it a bit of patina. I thought it suited this piece well.
The image below shows the articulation. I like to give the pieces movement.
This is the sketch I started with.
Fabricated Sterling and bone. Approximately 5/8 x 1/4 inch.
Fabricated silver, garnet and aquamarine beads. Approximately 1 1/2 inches.
A derivative of an older design (see the post dated June 11). This is a commissioned piece. I think it works.
Out in the sunshine showing a bit of the stones’ depth.
One more, a close up. All the pieces pivot on the rivet going through the bail.
